Detail
The only state where the compact passed a full legislature and still did not become law. HB 399, by Rep. Emily Chenevert, enacted the compact at R.S. 37:3095.1 and put the compact privilege under the Louisiana State Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition. It cleared the House and the Senate, was signed by the President of the Senate and sent to the Governor on June 12, 2025, and was vetoed on June 20. No replacement bill has been filed since.
What to ask for in Louisiana
Ask for it to be refiled, and for the veto reasoning answered head-on.
Your legislature passed the compact and the Governor vetoed it. Your ask is a refile — and an answer to whatever the veto objected to.
